Back to Normal
My foray into innovative blog layouts is over. I'm back to normal...the simple way seems the best. As cool as those dynamic layouts were, they never worked they way I thought they were supposed to. Things were missing, or at least impossible to find, not the least of which was the comment feature. So, I'm back to the regular look. I'm still thinking of a "new do," but I'll have to spend some time on learning how to do it. And it's pretty far down on my to-do list, so simple normal will have to do. Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Another New Look
Here's another option for blog layouts. This one has most of the familiar features, just displayed in a different way. Roll your mouse over the photos to see titles. The number that comes up in the right corner is the number of comments on that post; click on it to see the comments. The slim black bar down the right side of your screen reveals some of the elements that were there in the old layout. Well, sometimes...seems like sometimes these features show up and sometimes they don't. Let me know how it works for you. Have a great week!!

This Looks Different! Click Here, I'll Explain...
I've been thinking of changing my blog's look for a while, but finding the time to sit down and figure out how to do what I want to do has been tricky. This evening, I played around the some of the templates offered by the Blogger software and thought it would be fun to share some with you.
This one is quite different from before, as you've already figured out. As you roll your mouse over each photo, it flips to tell you the name and date of the post. All you have to do is click on it to read the post. Or, you can click on "Date" at the top left and the photos will rearrange themselves by date posted, starting with the most recent. Likewise, you can click on "Label" and they will arrange by topic. Since I'm the only one who posts on this blog, there's no need to click on "Author."
Play around with this new layout and let me know what you think. I'll be changing it every few days to give you a taste of some of the options I have. Leave a comment below, or email me, and tell me what you like and/or don't like about the new looks. In the end, I hope I can learn how to create what I'm seeing in my head, but until then, have fun with these new options!

Water Photo Challenge
It's Photo Challenge time again, and this month's theme is water. You'd think, with all the rain we've had this summer, that getting unique and stunning photos of water would be easy. Wrong! Water is indeed a challenge to photograph, at least for me.
I ended up with three shots of the same thing: raindrops on hosta blooms. The buds were just ready to open, and the green foliage, purple hues, and glistening rain made for a nice composition. So, the only "water" I have to offer is a few raindrops! But, they're pretty raindrops, and if you look closely enough, there are reflections in them. The only editing I did was crop out the extra background.
